Being from Los Angeles, our standard for Chinese foods are pretty high. But this restaurant is surprisingly authentic. We've ordered 2 take away dishes: Fried Japanese Tofu in Sweet Chili Sauce~ £9.80. The round shaped tofu are lightly fried with very silky and soft center, stir fried with squid, shrimps, imitation crabs, carrots and zucchini in sweet chili sauce. The dish has a little bit of kick from the chili and goes very well with a bowl of steamed rice. Young Chow Fried Rice~ £5.80. This dish was on a bland side and decent sized. This restaurant seemed like a nice place to dine in if we're ever in the area again.

Very thorough review Dennis, I don't have much more to add. Oh wait, yes I do, because you didn't write anything. Despite our differences in reviewing, I have to agree with you, Dennis. This place IS good. This place is HOT. Very spicy, indeed. It could just be that my friends just wanted to eat spicy food, but every dish I've had here contained tons of chili. I'm not a big fan of spicy food, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. I've had the (google translated) Shu hong boiling fish (£18.80) and it was amazing. So soft and tender. I don't remember there being any bones, either. The pork and duck were also very tender and flavorful. Those options weren't spicy. They have spicy crayfish, but in my opinion those required too much effort to eat. The effective peeling cost to tastiness reward ratio is not high enough. It also didn't help that I cut myself on one of these crayfish and the spiciness went into my thumb. But yeah, definitely get the fish, even though it's pricey. It's worth it. Alright, so the food is great, but what about the service? The service, dare I say, is suuuuuper great! The first time we had this, we dined in, and the waiters were very polite and professional. They were quite helpful and available, as well. Even though my friend can be a bit to honest and critical about food, the chef took it very well and had a short, candid discussion with her about the cooking. We were all very pleased, nonetheless. The second time we ate here, we got delivery. By the way, they do deliver. I'm not sure how far their range is, since we live just 2 miles away. Anyway, the delivery guy was super nice! He didn't know where the elevator was, so he ran up 6 flight of stairs, and still remained cheery and happy to see us. Can't beat service like that. Next time we order, and it's the same old man, I'm gonna give him a fat tip. In fact, the service here is a bit too nice. I'm a bit embarrassed to enjoy it. I feel like they must be working so hard, that I should help them out, too. Maybe I'll get my own napkins or help clean up afterwards. I haven't had the hot pot, yet, but according to Dennis, it's simply "amazing."
